New House Progress

I received scans of my film back from the lab and now I can share some pictures of the progress of our new place plus pregnant me.

About a month has gone by since the start of these pictures to the end of the series. It really has gone by amazingly fast!

We had our mechanical walk-through with the Builder this past Thursday. All the duct work and wiring is pretty much complete. We were told to tentatively expect completion at the end of August or early September which is a bit sooner than we were expecting. It’s great news though! We’re so excited to move in.

Make Something Edmonton

In March, the City of Edmonton launched a fantastic campaign to build enthusiasm about the city and the great things happening within it. Edmonton has always struggled to explain to the world what makes the city great and why people should live/visit here. While I live in Sherwood Park now, I lived in downtown Edmonton for a number of years and still consider myself an Edmontonian.

The campaign is called “Make Something Edmonton” and the website and video below sum up the project much better than I ever could.

This project is truly inspiring and has had me thinking of ways that I can contribute personally. I have some ideas involving True North Post and taking it in a more locally focused direction. I’ll soon be hitting the pause button on my shop with my May 19th due date just around the corner and when life settles down with the new baby, True North Post will be back but in a different way.

Carnival Fun

Last weekend Tim and I headed over to Spruce Grove to visit a small travelling carnival with the Befus clan. What started out as kind of a windy overcast day turned into a scorcher!

Sarah was pretty successful with the balloon/dart game and won a few stuffed Crayola Crayons for the kids. Carson was a big fan of both the giant slide and the motorcycle carousel. He knew we all were watching him do laps on the motorcycle so he tried to play it cool. What a cutie.

Little Miss Mundy

This morning I took some pictures of the latest addition to the Mundy family, little Miss Evana Lee Mundy. Evana is now almost 2 months old and is the daughter of Jason (Tim’s brother) and his wife Trina.

I couldn’t resist sharing this picture because her pout is pretty adorable. She did really well with the mini photo shoot and was happiest when she was diaper free. We took some pictures of Evana in an outfit that was Trina’s when she was a baby. Top marks to you if you guessed it was polyester and fluorescent pink.

Baby Shower

My lovely friend and former co-worker Megan threw me a baby shower on April 13th. Here’s a picture from the shower of Tim’s Auntie Barbara, me at 34 weeks and Tim’s mom Diana.

I have more pictures of pregnant me on film, I just need to get it developed. On my to-do list!
